Wlasnie kupilem sobie cyfrowy polsat i dostałem mode Huawei E3372 pracujacy w trybie NDIS. Tworzy on sobie dodatkowa podsiec 192.168.8.x (przynajmniej na kompie), natomiast podlaczenie go pod tomato i wybranie WAN DHCP z ta podsiecia nie daje rezultatow. Probowalem podazac za jednym z poradnikow ale po zaladowaniu modulu cdc_ether dostaje kod bledu -16, po czym komenda nvram get wan_ifname nie daje nic...
Jakies sugestie lub porady?

tym razem komenda nvram get wan-ifname dala mi rezultat vlan2 ale juz proba podniesienia LTE zakonczyla sie rezultaltem WAN timeout

Dzisiaj walczyłem podobnie z modemem e3272 hilink. Też miałem błąd -16 przy cdc_ether. Jeśli e3372 po podpięciu do kompa daje IPka to jest też hilink.

Odłącz modem na chwilę i podepnij go ponownie. W logach powinno się pojawić wykrycie nowego interfejsu na usb (pewnie eth2) - tylko wcześniej przed podpięciem trzeba załadować cdc_ether.
Jak wykryje eth2 to pozmieniać w nvram wan_ifname itd na eth2 i zapisać.
U mnie działa kolejność (po ustawieniu zmiennych nvram i restarcie routera):
- bez podpiętego modemu załadować cdc_ether np. w init (dałem też switch3g na początku)
- podpiąć modem
- wykonać service wan restart

Nie zadziałało mi przy uruchamianiu tego ze skryptu Init z włożonym od początku modemem - tak jakby wcześniej wykrywał modem a po załadowaniu cdc_ether już nie pojawia się interfejs eth2. Dopiero ponowne włożenie modemu działa. W Basic Settings na WAN oczywiście DHCP a na LAN podsieć inna niż 192.168.1.*

Dziekuje wszystkim za zaangażowanie, widzac ze nie ma szybkiej opcji na podlaczenie poszedlem na skroty. Wymienilem tez hilink modem na B593 router i podlaczylem go do mojego rt n66u za podwojnym NATem.
Mimo ze sposob Jimmy'ego dziala nie byl on w pelni autmatyczny a niestety moje kobiety w domu beze mnie nie poradzilby sobie.
Niemniej dziekuje.

A przy okazji.. czy wiecie czy B593 mozna ustawic w tryb Bridge aby pozbyc sie podwojnego NATa?

Nie wiem jak w przypadku e3372 ale w przypadku e3272 można bez problemu zmienić hilinka na zwykły modem (lub odwrotnie) poprzez zmianę wersji fw. Oryginalnie miałem zwykły modem i ten działa z tomato praktycznie od razu. Zmieniłem na hilink ze względu na wygodę po podłączeniu do komputera.

Kupowałem Asusy n10u albo n12d1 ale nie widzę ich, chyba już nie produkują, Chodzi o coś nowego i taniego. Transfery niewielkie.

@overflow2 patrząc po dostępności funkcji w nowych kompilacjach, to chyba nawet WRT54G/GL jeszcze ma OpenVPN, albo jakiś odpowiednik... zależy, na jakie transfery liczysz.
